A brand new website designed and developed for The Good Garden Company, a family run business based in West London.
The Good Garden Co have won awards for their gardens so when they approached me to completely design and rebuild their dated website I knew two things:
- Their website needed to be visually clean, direct and balanced with a high quality visual appeal
- I was going to have fun building something that would present their award-winning gardens in all their glory.
I was not disappointed.
The website needed to appeal to the higher end of the market that the client designs for, so early on it became apparent that the project couldn’t do without high quality professional photography, which I arranged with a professional photographer. To some extent the photography then set the tone for the web design.
Colours and typography
The client’s existing branding had an established soft blue-green colour already, so we complemented this cool tone with a gentle, warm, earthy tone.
Three additional b&w tones for backgrounds and typography allowed for type that was both soft and legible.
Typeface for headings: Josefin Sans, all uppercase
Typeface for copy: Lato
Fully responsive website design
One website built to look great on devices of all sizes.
